Welcome to "Global Education for Today's Classrooms". This site was developed by Felicia Mode Alexander, a Special Education/Social Studies teacher in New Jersey who has traveled widely and adheres to the words of the late Nelson Mandela, that the way to a better world for all is through education.
From 2013-2014, Mrs. Alexander participated in the Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (TGC), through which she had the opportunity to learn more about the rationale and best practices for teaching global lessons. By sharing this information with her colleagues both in her home district and elsewhere, she hopes to broaden students' experiences and empower them with a spirit of global understanding as well as the tools to be agents of change in the future.
